From May - June, 2022, I watched a pair of mockingbirds nest in one of my courtyard topiaries. Occasionally, when the parents left the nest for food or breaks, I'd carefully visit the nest for a couple minutes to capture a photograph of the eggs, and later the baby chicks. When the chicks were 8 days old, I refrained from visiting the nest and continued to observe and record from my study. For fourteen days, I watched the mom and dad feed and care for their baby chicks until all four fledged, and a week later flew away. This was an interesting experience that gave me a fond appreciation for wildlife.
